Getting started
What is VaultClip AI?+
VaultClip AI is a browser-based content studio built for faceless video creators. It generates captions, hooks, scripts, and hashtags using AI — and includes a Video creation studio where you can layer Reddit story overlays, a voiceover, and a gameplay background clip without ever showing your face.
Do I need to download anything?+
No. VaultClip runs entirely in your browser — Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari. No installs, no extensions, no desktop app required. Just open the app and start creating.
Do I ever need to show my face?+
Never. VaultClip is built from the ground up for faceless content — gameplay backgrounds, browser-based voiceover, automated captions. Your face never appears on screen.
Can I use it on mobile?+
VaultClip runs in any modern mobile browser. The app is desktop-optimised but fully usable on mobile for writing scripts, generating captions, and copying content. The Video creation studio preview works best on desktop.
Plans & pricing
Is there a free plan?+
Yes — the free plan gives you access to all tools with up to 10 AI script generations. There's no credit card required and no trial expiry. You can use it indefinitely within the free limits.
What do I get on the Pro plan?+
Pro unlocks 500 AI generations per month across all tools — captions, hooks, scripts, hashtags, repurpose, video studio, and AI video builder. You also get priority access to new features as they launch.
When does paid Pro launch?+
Very soon. Sign up free now and you'll be first to know — plus get locked into early-access pricing that won't be available after the public launch.
Can I cancel anytime?+
Yes. When Pro launches it will be a monthly subscription with no lock-in. Cancel anytime from Settings and you won't be charged again.
AI & content
What AI model powers VaultClip?+
We use Llama 3.3 70B running on Groq — one of the fastest and most capable open-source models available. Your prompts are processed in milliseconds. Your API key is never exposed to the browser.
Is my content saved or used to train AI?+
No. Your scripts, captions, and uploads are stored locally in your browser (localStorage and IndexedDB). Nothing you create is sent to our servers or used for model training.
What platforms is the content optimised for?+
TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. Captions, hooks, and hashtags are all tuned for short-form vertical video — the format that drives organic reach in 2025.
Video creation studio
Are the background clips copyright-safe?+
All clips in the library link to Pixabay (royalty-free, no attribution required) or YouTube channels that explicitly allow free commercial use. Always check the original source license before monetising.
Can I upload my own video clips?+
Yes. Go to Video library → My uploads and drop in any MP4 or WebM. Uploaded clips are saved to your browser's IndexedDB so they persist across sessions without a server upload.
How does the AI voice player work?+
The video creation studio uses your browser's built-in Web Speech API to read each caption line aloud as it animates onto the 9:16 preview. No external TTS service required — it works offline. For ultra-realistic voices, the studio also links to Speechma, ElevenLabs, and Murf AI.
Can I export the finished video?+
The current version gives you an export settings summary with your chosen background, overlay style, and caption lines — ready for you to assemble in CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, or any editor. Full in-browser rendering is on the roadmap.
Technical
My generations aren't working — what do I do?+
First check that you're logged in. If you're on the free plan, confirm you haven't hit the 10-script limit (visible in Settings → Generations). If the issue persists, try a hard refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R) or email us at team@vaultclip.com.
The voice selector is empty — how do I fix it?+
Browser voices can take a moment to load. Wait a second and the dropdown should populate automatically. If it stays empty, make sure your browser has speech synthesis enabled — Chrome and Edge have the most voices available.
What browsers work best?+
Chrome and Edge give the best experience — they have the most speech synthesis voices and strongest IndexedDB support. Firefox works well. Safari is supported but may have fewer voices for the voiceover feature.
